AT&T Assumes People are Morons

In the new AT&T commercial, they decide to answer Verizon's charges in their commercials that AT&T has very little 3g coverage across the country where they have a much larger range. They show this by showing the coverage maps.

So, AT&T comes out in their new commercial and has an actor (Luke Wilson) have some fun throwing post cards to different cities on the map where they have coverage. However, they aren't talking about 3G coverage, just normal coverage.

This would be bad enough trying to dupe people two stupid to pay attention, but they have actually brought a lawsuit against Verizon stating that they were not specific enough in their commercials in referring to their 3G coverage and that people might think that they were talking about coverage in general.

So, they have basically said that people that get AT&T are too stupid to read the words on the big pretty pictures. (Whether or not they believe these people know what a map looks like is unknown.) They then turn around and try to use that assumed stupidity to trick them into thinking that whatever Verizon said was false... because see, they have a Wilson brother and he's chiding them about it.

The commercial I'm referring to is listed below.
