The Guild: Season 1, Episode 10: Boss Fight!

The opening to this episode has Codex again high on adrenaline for standing up to Zaboo's mother. She is eating chocolate pudding while explaining how she felt.

So, back at Cheesybeards, they all agree to help Zaboo take on his mother. They treat it like they would a boss in the game. They go over her strengths and what they will use to attack her. They then go to confront her.

She tells Zaboo it is time to come home, but he hesitantly refuses. She gets angry and his will breaks, however, Codex is there to help and even Vork chimes in. They all stand up for Zaboo and use their "attacks" on her.

Eventually, she starts crying, which takes out Vork and uses mind control on Zaboo. However, Bladezz arrives to save the day. He tells her that Zaboo tried to kill himself because of her, which stuns her and gives Codex time to heel up Zaboo.

Zaboo then tells his mother that he is not going home with her, that he is an adult and will be treated like one. This takes her down, but she is quickly back up and brushes herself off. She tells him not to bother changing his mind and that she always wanted a sewing room.

The group give each other high fives until Zaboo runs off after his mother. We then hear him getting punched in the face as well and he returns to the group holding his head.

We conclude as Zaboo's mother drives off and the group talks about what just happened. They even accept Bladezz back into the group after his help with the boss. He just wishes she would have dropped some loot. Zaboo puts his arm around Codex and says that she dropped some loot for Codex. Codex's "Oh Crap" reaction is the end of the episode and season.

I watched the annotated version on YouTube that has little interesting bits to add about the show that were pretty interesting. It was a great episode, at least one of the better ones, if not the best. I am really looking forward to the new season and am thinking about buying the first season on DVD which comes out in less than a month.

I have noticed some other videos out there from the Guild so I will try to look at them tomorrow.
