NASA able to confirm cause of Northern Lights
NASA is able to determine that the Aurora Borealis is caused by energy released from magnetic reconnecting rather than being triggered by explosive acitivity.
I thought this was an interesting new understanding on one of the most spectacular naturally occuring events on our planet.
