You Gotta Get in the Game
So, as I will be writing about soon, it is a dead time for a sports fan at the moment. All that is here to sustain us for almost a month is baseball and MLS soccer.
After giving it some thought, I decided to dip into the funds and get a couple of jerseys in anticipation of the new seasons to come.
The first is a Steven Gerrard Liverpool Home jersey 08/09 with authentic name, lettering, and Premier League Patch.
This is my second Liverpool jersey, with the first being an 06/07 Peter Crouch Liverpool Champion's League jersey with authentic numbering, lettering, and patches.
So, while I was at it, I also decided to pick up my first ever Alabama Crimson Tide Football jersey. I have wanted one of these for years and years and finally broke down and got one in anticipation of the upcoming season. I wanted a number 37 for Shawn Alexander, but when I got to the website, they only offered 5 choices in the current jersey style and then only 2 in my size. So, I came away with a #29 aka Terry Grant as shown below.
Along with these, I picked up a fairly new hat for each. Seeing that I haven't bought a hat since high school, I didn't feel too bad about this and can wear them with the jerseys. Now I have a yard hat and then non-dingy hats to wear out if I want to.
At some point down the road I would like to get a Fernando Torres Liverpool jersey and a Michael Bradley USA jersey. I may have already gotten a USA one, but their new kits a pretty dull looking. The previous ones were much better. I am also looking to get a Liverpool scarf in the winter.
