Sirius / XM Merger Finally Given Go Ahead

On Friday, the FCC finally voted to approve Sirius's buyout of XM satellite radio. I think that this is a great thing that will lead to many more subscriptions for satellite radio as all services will be consolidated into the new company and someone wanting the services provided on both can now subscribe to the one service.

There are talks about the cost savings that will result from the merger which I will have to keep my eyes on. With most normal radio stations playing mostly garbage and bad studio shows, a subscription to a satallite radio with a decent price point might be a good idea in the future.
